Grandparents who take on the task of bringing up their grandchildren are heroes, big time! It is never an easy job to raise children and having done it once, does not make it any less demanding the second time around. For many GPs caring for their grandchildren there is a financial burden, a feeling of isolation and sometimes exhaustion.

The rewards, of course, are great. To know that your little ones are safe and happy is worth all the stress of daily life.
