Kids' Recipes to make for Halloween.
You and Gran can have fun making these together!

Magic Chocolaty Wands


  • 1/2 cup cream
  • 1 tsp icing sugar
  • 1/2 cup chocolate spread (such as Nutella)
  • 1/2 cup mixed nuts
  • 1/2 cup colorful edible sprinkles
  • 1/2 packet of mini Italian breadsticks

Place the cream into a bowl, add the icing sugar and mix with an electric mixer until the mixture is thick. Add the chocolate spread and stir until well combined. Place the nuts, sprinkles and chocolate mixture into 3 separate bowls. Dip each mini bread stick first into the chocolate mixture, then roll either in the nuts or in the sprinkles. This makes a delicious, crunchy party snack.

Popcorn Party Mix


  • 10 cups popped popcorn
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 14 oz salted peanuts
  • 16 oz plain M&Ms
  • 1 cup Reese's Pieces

Mix all ingredients in a large bowl. Great for a Halloween Party!

Crunchy Peanut Butter and Banana Wrap


  • 2 medium bananas, sliced
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tortillas
  • 1/3 cup crunchy peanut butter
  • 1 tbsp honey

Place the banana slices in a bowl and add the lemon juice. Gently toss until the banana slices are well coated with the juice. Spread one side of each tortilla with the crunchy peanut butter and layer with the banana slices. Drizzle with the honey and roll. Makes a great quick snack.
Serves 2

Halloween Party Toffee Apples

 **Adult supervision needed for this one!**


  • 6 sweet apples
  • 8 oz white sugar
  • 4 oz water
  • 1 oz butter
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 4 tbsp mixed nuts, finely chopped
  • 6 wooden skewers

Place the sugar and the water in a pan over low heat and heat until the sugar is dissolved. Stir in the butter and maple syrup and bring to a boil. Boil until the mixture becomes syrupy and thick. Remove the pan from the heat and add the nuts. Mix gently. Pierce the apples halfway through with the wooden skewers at the stalk end. Dip each apple carefully into the toffee until well coated. Place onto a lined baking tray until the toffee has hardened. Serves 6

Scary Marshmallow Eyeballs


  • 20 marshmallows
  • 20 cranberries
  • Red and blue icing pens

Push one cranberry into the center of each marshmallow. Draw bloodshot lines with the icing pens all over the marshmallow. Set aside to dry and serve as a spooky snack. Makes 20

Sweet Potato Crisps


  • 2 large sweet potatoes, peeled
  • 4 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Salt

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Slice the sweet potatoes with a vegetable peeler very thinly. Lightly oil a cookie sheet and arrange the sweet potato slices in a single layer. Brush the slices with the vegetable oil and sprinkle with salt. Bake in the oven for about 12 minutes or until crunchy and crisp.
Great snack for a Halloween Party.

Witches' Brew


  • 1 quart grape juice
  • 1 quart orange juice
  • 1 quart ginger ale
  • A few red and green grapes
  • Kool-ade

The day before the party, freeze the grapes or make a frozen mask To make a gruesome mask, fill a plastic mask with green Kool-ade and freeze overnight. Combine all the other ingredients in a Halloween punch bowl. Add your grapes (eyeballs) or other spooky Halloween decorations. Unmold the mask and add to the punch bowl.
